    Region of Peel - The Peel Police Service Board and Peel Regional Police have sent a letter to Prime Minister Mark Carney and key members of Cabinet highlighting the need for greater federal coordination on critical public safety challenges—including bail reform, firearms trafficking, organized auto theft and modernized border enforcement. The letter outlines recommendations to enhance federal legislation targeting violent and repeat offenders, bolster border security to disrupt the trafficking of illegal firearms and fentanyl, and advance the development of a national Public Safety Broadband Network (PSBN) to ensure resilient and interoperable communication for emergency services across Canada.
