Peel Police Reflections on 50 Years of a Safer Community Together Over the last 50 years, Peel Regional Police has been part of some historical events that have impacted many in our community and worldwide. Click here for Video Region of Peel – Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau collaborated with Square One Shopping Centre and Loss Prevention Officials on an initiative to reduce retail theft and enhance community safety. Between December 4 and December 16, 2023, investigators engaged in a retail enforcement blitz deploying dedicated resources in a proactive and tactical manner through foot and mobile patrols to detect, arrest and process offenders with emphasis placed on repeat, violent and/or individuals that were wanted on outstanding arrest warrants.
Region of Peel – Peel Regional Police is currently investigating a disturbing trend of extortion attempts. These attempts are primarily targeted towards members of our South Asian business community.
Region of Peel – Investigators from a multi-jurisdictional team have announced additional charges against 57-year-old Kenneth Law of Mississauga. Previously reported in May 2023, Kenneth Law was arrested in relation to an investigation involving the online sale and distribution of Sodium Nitrite.
VIDEO 2024 is Peel Regional Police's 50th anniversary of providing policing services to the Region of Peel. On January 1, 1974, the municipal police forces of Brampton, Chinguacousy, Mississauga, Port Credit and Streetsville amalgamated to form Peel Regional Police.
Region of Peel – Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau located 29-year-old Marie-Pierre from Brampton. Marie-Pierre was last seen on Monday, September 11, 2023, in the area of County Court Boulevard and Hurontario Street in the City of Brampton.
Region of Peel - Together with the Anti-Racism Advisory Committee (ARAC), Peel Regional Police will engage in a series of public consultations beginning in November. The consultations will be focused on the Human Rights Project established through principles set by the Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC).
Region of Peel – The Peel Police Services Board and Peel Regional Police would like to officially welcome Deputy Chief Lauren Jackson, who was sworn in as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) on October 23, 2023. She will join Chief Nishan Duraiappah's executive team.
