    Public Awareness Alert: Theft from Vehicles Region of Peel – In an ongoing effort to communicate our concerns to Mississauga residents regarding their potential victimization resulting from thefts from motor vehicles, investigators would like to provide information concerning increased thefts from cars in the Mississauga area and across the Region of Peel.   Through an analytical approach, using reports to identify hotspot areas, Peel Regional Police 11 Division uses the Community Safety and Wellbeing Plan (CSWB) to address this issue.

    Public Safety Alert: Online Scams Targeting Small Businesses Region of Peel – Peel Regional Police would like to make the public aware of an advance-fee scam where criminals have created and used fake social media accounts that appear almost identical to those of some elected municipal government officials, in attempts to defraud small business owners.  Over the past week, investigators have learned of several incidents of concern where a member of the public believed they were sent a message from a municipal government official on a social media platform claiming that they qualified for a COVID-19 relief grant specific to small businesses.

On October 18, 2020, at 6:14 pm, police attended the area of Eglinton Avenue and Kennedy Road in Mississauga to assist OPP regarding a vehicle involved in a fail to remain.

    Search Warrant Results in Firearm and Drugs Seized Region of Peel - Officers from 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have charged four individuals relating to firearm and drug-related offences.   On Sunday, October 18, 2020, the Criminal Investigation Bureau, with the Tactical Unit's assistance, executed two criminal code search warrants at residences in the Brampton area.

    Drug Trafficking Investigation Results in Seizure of Firearm Region of Peel- Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Specialized Enforcement Bureau laid firearm and drug trafficking charges in relation to an investigation in the City of Brampton. Over the past month, an investigation commenced in relation to drug trafficking activity in the area of Dixie Road and Templehill Road in the City of Brampton.

    Prolific Residential Break and Enter Suspect Arrested Region of Peel - After a lengthy investigation, Members of the 11 Division Break and Enter Unit have arrested a man in relation to numerous Break, Enter and theft investigations which occurred in the region of Peel and across the Greater Toronto area (GTA). On October 8, 2020, Piotr Wroblewski, a 41 year-old male of no fixed address was located during the execution of a warrant in the City of Toronto with the assistance of the Toronto Police Emergency Task Force (Tactical unit).
