  • Project ERASE: Over 2,100 Charges Laid by Peel Police for High-Risk Driving

    Region of Peel - Peel Regional Police have arrested more than 130 individuals for provincial and criminal offences related to street racing and other high-risk driving behaviours, as part of Project ERASE (Eliminating Racing Activities on Streets Everywhere). Between May and June 2025, officers collaborating on this Joint Forces Operation targeted hotspot locations across the GTA, leading to the investigation of 684 vehicles and the seizure of nearly 100.

  • Traffic Stop leads to 20 Charges Laid and the Seizure of a Firearm and Illicit Substances

    Region of Peel - Officers from 22 Division Uniform patrol located an illegal firearm and illicit substances after investigating a vehicle in Brampton. On July 17, officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Kennedy Road and Rambler Drive in relation to a Highway Traffic Act Offence.

  • Organized Commercial Auto Theft Ring Taken Down

    Region of Peel – Investigators from our Commercial Auto Crime Bureau have charged three individuals in connection with an organized cargo theft investigation that took place in Mississauga. On Monday, July 14, 2025, investigators located a stolen transport truck, reported stolen days earlier, in the area of Dixie Road and Meyerside Drive.

  • Arrest Made in Threats Against Mayor Brown Investigation

    Region of Peel – Officers from 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged an individual in connection with uttering threats against Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown. In late June 2025, Peel Regional Police were notified that the mayor and his family had received threats.

  • Project Ghost: Peel Police Take Down Organized Crime Group Behind Home Invasions

    Region of Peel– Peel Regional Police’s Central Robbery Bureau has taken down an organized criminal network responsible for more than 15 violent home invasions involving high-end vehicle and jewellery thefts across the Greater Toronto Area.

    Project Ghost was initiated when a criminal network was identified to be connected to the following violent incidents:

    Region of Peel – Officers from 22 Division uniform patrol have arrested and charged two men with gun related offences. On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Kennedy Road and Clarence Street in the city of Brampton.

  • Public Assistance Sought in Fraud Investigations

    Region of Peel – Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) are seeking the public’s help in identifying individuals following multiple incidents of fraud in Brampton. From May 13 to June 5, 2025, police received numerous reports involving two male suspects utilizing stolen credit card information in the Queen Street and Delta Park Boulevard area.

  • Arrest Made in Sexual Assault Investigation (4)

    Region of Peel - Investigators from the Special Victims Unit (SVU) have charged a man for sexually assaulting an 18-year-old female. Between June and July 2025, the suspect reportedly communicated with the victim via a dating app using the online name ‘Alejandro' and eventually arranged to meet for a date.
