  • Peel Regional Police puts shovels in the ground for new Operational Support Facility

    Region of Peel – Peel Regional Police have officially broken ground on the new Operational Support Facility (OSF) at 8100 Mississauga Road, set to be completed in 2027. The facility will be home to over 700 Peel Regional Police employees with some bureaus and units operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • Peel Regional Police releases inaugural Human Rights Project report and annual use of force data

    Region of Peel – On September 22, Peel Regional Police presented the inaugural Human Rights Project report with the use of force statistics at the Peel Police Services Board (PPSB) meeting. 

    The report, presented alongside Dr. Akwasi Owusu-Bempah, Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Toronto Mississauga, included an analysis of race and identity-based data and other findings.

    Region of Peel - On July 27, 2023, Statistic Canada published its 2022 Crime Severity Index. The Crime Severity Index (CSI) increased from 2021 across Canada and Ontario; and Peel Region was no exception to the trend in 2022.

  • Assistance Sought in Car Theft Investigation

    WATCH VIDEO Region of Peel – Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau seek assistance from the public in locating and identifying suspects involved in multiple car theft incidents.  One suspect has been identified as Calvin PEACOCK, a 39-year old male of No Fixed Address.

    Region of Peel– Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking assistance in locating and identifying suspects in relation to a series of Mischief and Trespassing incidents in the area of Lorne Park in the City of Mississauga.

    On July 25th, at approximately 4:00 a.m., a house was vandalized by approximately 4-5 individuals on bicycles.
