  • Impaired, Unlicensed Driver in Stolen Truck Charged Following Multiple Hit and Runs

    Region of Peel - Road Safety Services have charged a man with several offences following a string of hit-and-run collisions in Mississauga. On Thursday, June 12, 2025, several calls were placed to 9-1-1, reporting a pickup truck driving erratically near Dixie Road and the QEW.

  • Arrest made in Sexual Assault Case

    Region of Peel – Investigators from the Special Victims Unit (SVU) have charged a man for sexually assaulting multiple females under the age of 16. Between September 2024 to June 2025, it is alleged that the accused communicated through social media with multiple female victims, using the online name, “-PoloPapi-”.

  • Public Assistance Sought in Identifying Individuals

    Region of Peel – Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) are seeking the public’s help in identifying individuals following multiple suspicious incidents in Brampton. In early June 2025, police received two separate reports involving an elderly man who was seen speaking to children and taking photographs at a park near 950 North Park Drive.

  • Additional Arrests Made in Human Trafficking Investigation

    Region of Peel – The Peel Regional Police Vice Unit has arrested and charged two more individuals in connection to an investigation involving two females who were trafficked across the province in 2024. In October 2024, Peel Regional Police and Halton Police began an investigation after two females who were not known to each other alleged they had been sexually trafficked throughout the Golden Horseshoe area.

  • Arrest Made Following Child Abuse Investigation

    Region of Peel - Investigators from the Special Victims Unit have charged a Mississauga teacher following an investigation into allegations of child abuse. In May 2025, the Special Victims Unit launched an investigation into allegations involving a teacher employed by the Peel District School Board.

  • Arrests Made in Prolific Alcohol Theft Ring Targeting LCBO

    Region of Peel – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police 21 Division Community Intervention Response Team have arrested two males from Brampton in connection with a series of high-value thefts from Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) locations across the region. This year, it is believed that 25-year-old Anuj Kumar is responsible for an extensive number of thefts totaling approximately $300,000 in stolen alcohol from various LCBO stores.

  • Traffic Stop Leads to a Loaded Gun

    Region of Peel—Officers from the Strategic and Tactical Enforcement Policing Unit (STEP) have seized a loaded firearm and laid multiple firearm-related charges after a proactive investigation in Brampton. On June 14, 2025, STEP officers investigated a vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act offence.

  • Canada-Wide Warrant Issued in a Homicide Investigation

    Region of Peel - Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have obtained a Canada-wide warrant for a third man wanted for Second Degree Murder in connection with an incident that occurred in Mississauga. In July 2023, the victim, Gurvinder Nath, a 24-year-old man from Brampton, was making a food delivery in the area of Britannia Road and Creditview Road.
