Peel SHIELD

Who We Are

Peel SHIELD is an information‑sharing partnership between Peel Regional Police, community organizations, and private‑sector stakeholders. As part of the Global SHIELD Network the program connects police, businesses, and critical‑infrastructure partners to strengthen preparedness against natural disasters, cyber‑attacks, terrorism, and other emerging threats.

It enhances cross‑jurisdictional intelligence sharing but is not a platform for reporting crime.

Working Together

Through the Global SHIELD Network, Peel SHIELD receives and shares timely security information that helps organizations across Peel stay aware of evolving threats and relevant events.

Peel SHIELD supports public and private organizations by providing:

  • Real‑time email alerts
  • Assessments, briefings, and bulletins
  • Conferences and security presentations
  • Training and educational opportunities
  • Alerts from the Global SHIELD Network

Membership strengthens preparedness, resilience, and regional security collaboration.

Your Role in the Network

Peel SHIELD depends on active, two‑way communication. Members should report suspicious behaviour using the proper emergency or non‑emergency channels and share relevant open‑source information or observed trends to support broader intelligence sharing.

How to Join

Peel SHIELD welcomes public‑ and private‑sector professionals responsible for emergency management, security, business continuity, or critical‑infrastructure protection, including:

  • Critical infrastructure operators (airports, hospitals, transit systems, data centres)
  • Cyber‑security and risk‑management professionals
  • Emergency managers and security directors within large private‑sector enterprises
  • First responder and emergency services partners whose operations connect with Peel’s infrastructure
