Firearms and Drug Trafficking Charges Following Search Warrant Execution

Region of Peel – Officers from the 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) and 11 Division Community Incident Response Team (CIRT) have arrested and charged a man with multiple firearm and drug related offences.

In Dec. 2024, 11 CIB officers with the assistance of 11 CIRT initiated an investigation into an alleged street gang involved in drug trafficking across the Greater Toronto Area. On June 18,2025, after a comprehensive analysis of evidence, members from 11 CIB, 11 CIRT, and the Tactical Rescue Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Millgrove.

As a result, police seized two restricted firearms, large quantities of various drugs (including cocaine and opioids), and a large amount of Canadian currency.  

Ethan Williams-Kowalyk, a 21-year-old man from Millgrove was charged with the following offences:

  • Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm x 2
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm x 2
  • Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition x 2
  • Possess Firearm with Altered Serial Number
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x 4

Williams-Kowalyk was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
