Series of Traffic Stops Results in Significant Firearm Recoveries

Region of Peel – Officers from the Strategic and Tactical Enforcement Policing (STEP) Unit have recovered multiple illegal firearms and laid numerous criminal charges following a series of proactive investigations in Mississauga.

Between Sept. 19 and 21, 2025, STEP officers conducted several traffic stops in the areas of Mid-Way Boulevard and Dixie Road, as well as Silver Creek Boulevard and Cawthra Road.

During these stops, vehicle occupants in four separate investigations were found to be in violation of the Cannabis Control Act and/or the Liquor Licence and Control Act. A subsequent search also revealed an illegal firearm in each vehicle.

As a result of these investigations, the following were arrested and charged with multiple firearm related charges:

Revi Kumar, a 28-year-old man from Toronto
Dena Jokhu, a 27-year-old woman from Ajax
Angelinah Nicholson, a 20-year-old woman from Brampton
David Campbell, 20-year-old man from Brampton
Sean Jackson, a 48-year-old man from Toronto

In another incident, a motorcyclist committed a Highway Traffic Act offence and attempted to flee the scene on foot. Officers pursued and arrested the suspect, who was also in possession of a loaded firearm and in breach of a probation order.

Arrested and charged is Nathan Davis, a 29-year-old man from Toronto

All accused were held for bail hearings and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
