Male Charged after Numerous Complaints of Dangerous Driving
Region of Peel - A Mississauga man has been charged with several driving related criminal offences following two days of reckless and dangerous driving throughout the City of Mississauga.
On Friday March 23, 2018 police received video evidence of a vehicle that repeatedly drove through red lights and into opposing traffic lanes in South West Mississauga. The video depicted a black Honda that showed complete disregard for the safety of all other motorists and pedestrians.
On Monday March 26 and Tuesday March 27, 2018 officers attended the area to conduct enforcement and observed the suspect vehicle driving dangerously with speeds in excess of 200 km/h. Police were unable to attempt to stop the vehicle at this time due to public safety concerns.
On Wednesday March 28, 2018 utilizing numerous resources, officers arrested and charged Kim LUI, a 53 year-old male from Mississauga, in the City of Burlington. LIU has been charged with three counts of Dangerous Operation of Vehicle, Stunting and Careless Driving. His vehicle was seized. LIU will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday March 29, 2018 for a bail hearing.
