How a Little Boy’s Dream was Realized

There was once a little boy named Michael that dreamed of becoming a police officer. As he got older his dream carried him along the road of education, which after high school, led him to college where he studied Police Foundations and then propelled him into other police related courses. At the same time as Michael grew, he took jobs with security companies and spent hundreds of hours volunteering. His dream continued driving him forward and even when he met hurdles, nothing was going to get in his way of someday becoming a police officer.

As a young adult he applied to the Peel Regional Police but met no success as his driving record was not perfect.  After all his hard work and determination he felt as if a door had slammed in his face but the door was not closed. Michael shook it off and told himself to try again. So for a second time he applied and again he faltered, the same way a child would while attempting to tie shoelaces. His frustration began to overcome him.

He questioned himself again, perhaps this dream was not meant to be, but he was still determined. With his perseverance, he would apply again for the third time and this was when he was met with success.  Michael was hired as a Constable with the Peel Regional Police , years later looking back he can still recall the pride felt that first day as a police officer.  He now passes on the message to never give up on your dreams and that hard work and dedication does pay off.
