5th Annual Chief's Gala

Honouring Our Community, Together

Join us for the Fifth Annual Gala celebrating Chief Nishan Duraiappah, his leadership and his commitment to the Peel community and police service. This special evening brings our community together to celebrate, dine and raise funds in support of the Peel Police Foundation. 

Our gala blends entertainment with tradition, offering a memorable and meaningful experience. 

The Peel Police Foundation supports programs that strengthen community‑police partnerships and help enhance safety and well‑being across Peel. 

Event Details

International Centre 
6900 Airport Road, Mississauga 

Reception: 6 p.m. 
Dinner: 7 p.m. 

Guests will be welcomed with cocktails and antipasto, followed by a three‑course dinner with wine, and a dessert and nightcap to close the evening.

The night will include entertainment, a live auction and other surprises. You’ll leave with unforgettable memories and a special token of our appreciation. 

Gala attire is required (Mess Dress or Black Tie).

About Rod Black

Rod Black

Rod Black is one of Canada’s most well‑known sports broadcasters. For more than 40 years, he has called many of the biggest moments in sports – from hockey and basketball to baseball, football, golf, figure skating and even the Olympics. 

He has worked with major networks like CTV and TSN, earning awards and national recognition for his work. Rod is also a popular host, speaker, author and actor, and he has been honoured for his volunteer work with charities across Canada. 

Rod says his favourite sports moment is always “the next one,” because every day brings a new story to tell.
