Wanted Offender Arrested
Region of Peel – Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged an individual in relation to an intimate partner violence investigation.
On May 26 2025, the suspect was allegedly observed with a firearm. A search warrant was sought for his residence. As a result, investigators recovered a 9MM handgun with ammunition within the accused’s residence. A warrant in the first was issued for the suspect.
On June 9 2025 Peel Regional Police arrested James Orr, a 27-year-old man from Brampton and charged him with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Weapon
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing Its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
Orr was held for bail hearing and appeared at Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
