Video: Three Tips to Be Seen This Halloween

WATCH

With the lure of ghosts, goblins, pumpkins and candy it can be so easy for our little ones to get caught up in the mystique of Halloween.  As we prep and dress our children for All Hallows’ Eve, we need to keep a few costume safety tips in mind so everyone can Be Seen this Halloween. While we all know that kids have their own ideas about what they want to dress up as, with a few small tweaks we can make sure their costumes set them up for success.

Follow these Three Tips to Be Seen:

  1. Choose bright colours.  Children need to be visible to vehicles and people; costumes that are florescent and bright coloured will allow drivers to clearly see from all angles.
  2. Make sure the costume fits properly. Not only does a costume look better when it fits properly but because it’s not too big and not too long you’ll avoid your little one tripping and falling.
  3. Avoid masks. They tend to restrict your vision, so we suggest using makeup instead. Plus, with make-up you get to be as creative as you like.

Following these three tips will ensure that everyone is seen and has a safe night. Happy trick-or-treating!
