VIDEO: Eid Mubarak to Our Muslim Community

WATCH

As the month of Ramadan comes to a close, Muslim community members gather together to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. This is a joyful holiday of feasting and gift exchange with family and friends after a month of fasting in reflection, self-restraint, charity and prayer.  Eid al-Fitr is also a time to remember those who are less fortunate while learning valuable virtues during the fast.

“In Peel Region we enjoy vibrant cultural and religious diversity and we at Peel Regional Police are committed to celebrating, engaging and being more reflective of the many cultures and faiths in our community” said Chief Chris McCord.

The values of showing compassion, exercising patience and giving charity are all essential to the fabric of our multicultural society.

On behalf of all employees of Peel Regional Police, Chief Chris McCord invites you to WATCH this celebratory video message and to share in the joy with the Muslim Community as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr.

Eid Mubarak!
