UPDATE: Public Appeal to Identify Owner in Dog Bite Continues

Region of Peel – Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifiy the owner in a dog bite investigation.

On Sunday September 23, 2018 at approximately 4:30 pm the victim and a family member were at the parkway belt leash-free dog park in the City of Mississauga. A 3 year old female was attacked by a black and white husky.

The owner of the husky initially spoke with the victim’s family member however he left the park prior to paramedics attending. The victim was transported to a trauma center. The victim suffered three puncture wounds to the back of her neck, the injury was non-life threatening.

On October 16, 2018 information was received and a photo was released of the possible owner of the dog. Police did speak with this individual however they are not the owner of the husky and the investigation continues.
