Two Firearms Seized and Three Arrested in Residential Search Warrant

Region of Peel – Officers from the Street Crime Gang Unit have arrested and charged three people for numerous firearms and drug related offences in the City of Brampton.

Upon the conclusion of an investigation, on Thursday March 8, 2018 the Street Crime Gang Unit executed a residential search warrant in the area of the Gore Road and Ebenezer Road in the City of Brampton.  

As a result of the search warrant, police located and seized assorted ammunition, a stun gun and two firearms:

  • a loaded .40 caliber Glock handgun,
  • an ATAKI Arms Loraki .9mm handgun,

In addition to the firearms, quantities of Fentanyl, Heroin, MDMA, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Xanax and Marihuana were also seized.

A total of $2,010.00 in Canadian Currency was seized from the residence.

The street value of the seized drugs was in excess of $11,000.00.

Lamar BORELAND, a 30 year-old male from Brampton, was arrested and charged with two counts of Trafficking, seven counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, two counts of Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, two counts of Careless Storage of Firearm, two counts of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, three Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition, and Careless Storage of Ammunition. BORELAND was held for a special bail hearing on Friday March 9, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Matthew FERRIGAN, a 36 year-old male from Mississauga was arrested and charged with seven counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Careless Storage of Firearm, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition, and Careless Storage of Ammunition. FERRIGAN was held for a special bail hearing on Friday March 9, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Tiffany O’GARRO,a 26 year-old female from Brampton, was arrested and charged with seven counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Careless Storage of Firearm, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition, and Careless Storage of Ammunition. O’GARRO was held for a special bail hearing on Friday March 9, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
