Traffic Stop Results in Loaded Firearm

Region of Peel - Officers from 11 Division Uniform Patrol located a firearm and laid numerous firearm-related charges after conducting a traffic stop in Mississauga. 

On Sunday, May 29, 2022, at 8:37 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop after receiving a report of an impaired driver in the area of Aquitaine Avenue and Winston Churchill Boulevard in the City of Mississauga. The driver was found in possession of a firearm and arrested. 

As a result of the investigation, officers located a Glock 10mm pistol.

Daniel Ramdatt, a 26-year-old man from the City of Toronto, is charged with the following offences:

  • Over 80. Excess
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Unauthorized Possession in Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition

He was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
