Tip Received From Public Leads to an Arrest
Region of Peel – Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau would like to thank the public for assisting police with information that led to an arrest.
On Monday, November 13, 2017, a male party attempted to gain access to a residence located in the area of Erin Centre Boulevard and Churchill Meadows Boulevard in the City of Mississauga. His image was captured on the homeowner’s surveillance camera.
A media release was released to the public on January 12, 2018, with images of the suspect. In early February, a Crime Stoppers tip was received that help to identify the suspect.
On February 14, 2018, Eliot KASONGO, a 26 year-old male form the City of Mississauga was arrested and charged with one count of Attempt Break and Enter and six counts of Breach of Probation. KASONGO was held for a bail hearing that took place on February 15, 2018, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
