Three Men Charged in Brampton Homicide Investigation
Region of Peel – Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have arrested and charged three individuals in connection with a homicide that occurred in Brampton.
On Monday, Dec. 8, at approximately 7:02 p.m., Peel Regional Police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting near Shoppers World on Main Street. The victim was driving out of the plaza when the suspects approached his vehicle and opened fire. Officers located a 25-year-old male victim that had been shot in his vehicle, who was pronounced at the scene.
Following an investigation, three men were arrested and charged with First-Degree Murder:
- Elijah Turney, a 20-year-old from Brampton
- Malik Young, a 20-year-old from Brampton
- Omar Ayah, a 25-year-old from Toronto
All three individuals will appear for bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
Investigators believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety. No additional suspects are being sought at this time.
