Special Olympics Change for Champions
Help enrich the lives of Ontarians with an intellectual disability, through the life of sport. Next time you’re in a convenience store picking up a carton of milk or the chocolate bar you’ve been craving consider donating your leftover change. Customers can donate any denomination of change from their purchase to the Champions of Special Olympics.
The Ontario Law Enforcement and Torch Run have partnered with convenience stores across the province of Ontario for a province wide fundraising campaign, ‘Change for Champions’ in support of the athletes of Special Olympics Ontario.
The community with the highest grossing donations in the province will host the Provincial Cheque presentation for Special Olympics Ontario. The Law enforcement agency in that community will be invited to collect the donation cheque on behalf of Special Olympics Ontario and we hope it will be the Region of Peel!
Here are some of the local participating locations:
- Circle K convenience store located at 230 Wanless Drive, Brampton
- Mac’s convenience store located at 130 Queen Street East, Brampton
- Circle K convenience located at 2520 Britannia Road West, Mississauga
- Circle K convenience store located at 2980 Argentia Road, Mississauga
So next time you grab a frosty at your local convenience store consider donating your change to support Special Olympic’s dedication to enriching the lives of Ontarians living in our community with an intellectual disability through the life of sport.
This campaign will run for the month of July 2018 so please tag @PeelPoliceMedia, #ChallengeAccepted and #ChangeForChampions with your amazing photos.
