Robbery Charges Laid in Brampton

Region of Peel – Investigators from Central Robbery Bureau have charged two men relating to an attempted carjacking in the City of Brampton.

On Sunday, October 25, 2020, at approximately 1:50 p.m., the victim parked his vehicle at a gas station in the area of Mississauga Road and Steeles Avenue in the City of Brampton. When out of his truck, the victim was confronted by the accused parties, one armed with a knife.  They made a demand for his keys, and a struggle ensued. They were not successful in obtaining the truck keys and fled on foot. There were no physical injuries sustained by the victim.

At 2:20 a.m. on Monday, October 26, 2020, uniform patrol officers from 22 Division located the suspects nearby in a commercial business where officers arrested them.

Manjot Singh, a 25-year-old man from Brampton, and Shivam Miglani, a 20-year-old man from Brampton, both were charged with Robbery.  They were held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on October 26, 2020.
