Reducing Impaired Driving Everywhere This Superbowl Weekend
Region of Peel â Reducing Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) focuses on detecting and removing those individuals from our roads who choose to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Peel Regional Police conduct R.I.D.E. enforcement throughout the year and maintain a zero-tolerance policy with respect to impaired driving related offences.
Peel Regional Police Road Safety Services will be conducting Superbowl weekend R.I.D.E on February 2 and 3, 2019.
Please remember to:
- Be responsible
- Choose a designated driver. Decide who's going to be doing the driving before you go out and make sure that person does not consume any alcohol and drugs.
- Arrange for a separate mode of transportation like a cab.
Impaired driving is no accident. In Canada, it is one of the leading causes of death on our roads that can be easily avoided by planning ahead.
If you suspect that someone is operating a motor vehicle while impaired, call 9-1-1 when safe to do so.
Peel Regional Police would like to remind everyone that road safety is a shared responsibility. It is not worth risking your life or the life of another person. Please celebrate responsibly and have a happy and safe Superbowl weekend.
