Public Assistance Sought in Mississauga Stabbing Investigation
Region of Peel – Investigators from 11 Division’s Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for an unprovoked stabbing in Mississauga.
On Thursday, Dec. 24, at approximately 7:20 p.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the area of Church Street and Queen Street South.
The investigation revealed that the victim was walking along a trail in the area when an unknown male demanded valuables. After the victim complied, the suspect stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing in an unknown direction.
Without a cell phone to call for assistance, the victim drove himself to a nearby paramedic division, where he was transported to a local trauma centre. His injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.
The suspect remains outstanding and is described as a White male in his 30’s, last seen wearing a green or blue jacket.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dashcam or surveillance footage, or information related to this incident, to contact the 11 Division CIB at 905-453-2121, ext. 1133.
