Project Banquet $150,000 in Property Recovered
Region of Peelâ In October 2019, Project Banquet was launched as a result of multiple break and enters and home invasions throughout the region. Investigators from 22, 21, 12 and 11 Division Break and Enter Units worked together to identify several suspects during the ongoing investigation. Peel Police worked in partnership with York and Halton Police as the crime spree occurred in all the Regions.
As of November 27, 2019, two arrests have been made in Project Banquet, approximately $150,000 worth of stolen property including; jewelry and electronics has been recovered. Also recovered were four high-end stolen vehicles used in the break and enters. All recovered property has been returned to their rightful owners
The first accused is a 19-year-old from Brampton, he was charged with 21 criminal charges. He was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
