Police Shut Down Illegal Cannabis Dispensary
Region of Peel - On Friday, January 18, 2019, investigators from the Peel Regional Police Vice, Narcotics and Street Level Organized Crime Bureau conducted a search warrant under the Cannabis Act at a premise located in the area of Hurontario Street and Dundas Street, in the City of Mississauga.
As a result, investigators seized a total of 31 pounds of dried cannabis that was ready for sale, several cannabis edibles, some related Cannabidiol oil products (CBD) and approximately $10,000 of Canadian currency.
Four employees were located within the premise and charged under the Cannabis Control Act for the offence of Unlawfully Sell Cannabis. The following individuals will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton at a later date.
1) Luis Gutierrez-Sanchez, 27-year-old man from the City Milton
2) Jose Martinez, 22-year-old man from the City of Toronto
3) Michael Martinez-Gonzalez, 19-year-old man from the City of Toronto
4) Quang Phan, 49-year-old man from the City of Toronto
