Police Seize a Loaded Firearm and Narcotics in Residential Search Warrants (1)
Region of Peel– Officers from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau with the assistance of the Tactical Units have arrested and charged three individuals with firearms and drug related offences in the City of Brampton.
On Thursday November 8, 2018 search warrants were conducted on two Brampton residences. As a result police located and seized a loaded Taurus Int. 9mm semi- automatic handgun and ammunition. In addition to the firearm, quantities of Cocaine, Fentanyl, Oxycodone pills, Hydro morphine pills and Xanax pills were seized.
Olamilekan Jimoh, an 18 year-old male of Brampton, was arrested and charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a loaded Prohibited Weapon, and Careless Storage of a Firearm as well as two counts of possession for the purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance.
Martin Campbell, a 22 year-old male of Brampton, was arrested and charged with Careless storage of a firearm, Unauthorized possession of a firearm and four counts of possession for the purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance.
Ebony-Jay Burke, a 22 year-old female of Brampton, was arrested and charged with Careless storage of a firearm, Unauthorized possession of a firearm, one count of possession of a controlled substance and three counts of possession for the purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance.
The total value of narcotics seized is in excess of $57,000 dollars.
All parties were held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton.
