Police Seize a Loaded Firearm and Narcotics in Residential Search Warrants

Region of Peel – Officers from the Vice, Narcotics, and Street Level Organized Crime Bureau have arrested and charged five individuals with firearms and drug related offences in the City of Brampton.

Between Monday, October 1 and Tuesday, October 2, 2018, several search warrants were conducted on two Brampton residences. As a result of the search warrants, police located and seized a loaded .45 caliber Glock semi- automatic handgun and ammunition. In addition to the firearm, quantities of Cocaine, Crack, and Hashish were also seized.

Kerrsty McDowell, a 25 year-old female of Brampton, was arrested and charged with two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Skylar Porter, a 31 year-old female of Brampton, was arrested and charged with two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unauthorized Possession of a Fiream, Knowledge of Unauthorized Poeesion of a Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, and Careless Storage of a Firearm.

Jeigh Ames, a 26 year-old male of Brampton, was arrested and charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Careless Storage of a Firearm, and Possession of a Prohibited Firearm Contrary to Order.

Carleton Wadley, a 27 year-old male of Brampton, was arrested and charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm Contrary to Order, Careless  Storage of a Firearm. 

David Greaves, a 23 year-old male of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with  Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Careless Storage of a Firearm. 

All parties were released with a future court date in November, 2018.
