Police Seeking Public’s Assistance in Shooting Investigation

Region of Peel– Officers from the 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau are investigating a shooting incident and are seeking witnesses to come forward.

On Thursday, July 5, 2018 at approximately 12:42 a.m., Peel Regional Police responded to reports of shots fired at an apartment building located in the area of The Collegeway and Ridgeway Drive in the City of Mississauga. Several rounds were fired by unknown suspects, who are then believed to have fled in a vehicle.

A 27 year-old male from Mississauga was transported to a trauma centre in serious but stable condition due to gunshot injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information that may assist in the investigation including dash cam videos and residential or business surveillance videos.
