Police Seeking Assistance in Locating Stolen Property

Brampton – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police 21 Division Break and Enter Unit are asking for the public’s assistance as they continue their investigation into recent break & enters and mischiefs to public schools in the Brampton area.

Since July 2020, there has been an increase in Break and Enters and Property Damage being committed at PDSB elementary schools in 21 Division. During the incidents, the suspect(s) are stealing Apple IPad’s, and/or smashing school windows. These incidents take place between 11pm-4am.

  • Balmoral Drive Sr. Public School
  • Aloma Crescent Public School
  • Eagle Plains Public School

On November 30, 2020, a 17-year-old male from Brampton was arrested for Break, Enter and Commit. He was release with a future court date to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. Police recovered 82 Apple I-pads.  

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person and, therefore, the identity of the Young Persons charged in this investigation is protected.

The 21 Division Break and Enter Unit are seeking the public’s assistance, as several Ipads, and Macbooks belonging to the elementary schools are have been sold and are in the community.  If anyone has purchased an item between July and October 2020 in the Brampton area using Kijiji, Facebook market and Let Go please contact 21 Division Break and Enter Unit at 905 453-2121 Ext 2133as this item may be stolen.
