Police Seeking Assistance in Assault Investigation (1)

Region of Peel– Officers from 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the assistance in identifying a male responsible for two separate assaults on two female victims in the City of Brampton.

The first incident took place on Sunday December 22, 2019 at approximately 3:40p.m., a lone male approached a female in the area of Norton Place Park and Clark Boulevard in the City of Brampton. The female victim was physically assaulted and she was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The second incident took place on Sunday December 22, 2019 at approximately 7:36p.m., again a lone male approached a female in the grocery store parking lot in the area of Peel Centre Drive in the City of Brampton. The female victim was threatened with a knife. A struggle took place resulting in the victim sustaining cuts to both hands. The male suspect fled on foot towards Central Park Drive and Knightsbridge Road. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The suspect in both incidents is described as a male black, 5’7’ to 5’11 in height, mid to late 30’s, dark complexion, facial hair with a slim build. In the first incident he was wearing: a dark blue jacket, grey track pants, grey hoody, dark coloured hat, black shoes with white soles. The victim in the first incident describes a Caribbean accent.

In the second incident the suspect was wearing: black cargo style pants, oversized camouflage hoody, and black shoes with white soles. The suspect was injured during the second incident and sustained a cut under his right eye and scratches to his face.

Investigators believe that the incidents are related and that the same suspect is responsible for both. To view still images, please visit our website.
