Police Make Arrest in Robbery and Stabbing Incident

Region of Peel– Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested three people in relation to a robbery and stabbing investigation in the City of Brampton.

On Saturday February 23, 2019 at approximately 12:15 a.m. a 24 year-old male victim from Brampton and a 21 year old male victim from Brampton were present at a bus stop at Bovaird Drive and Kennedy Road in Brampton. The victims were approached by a stolen Dodge Caravan containing two male suspects and one female suspect. The victims were offered and accepted a ride. While in the vehicle the victims were threatened with a knife, robbed of their personal property and demanded to provide their bank card access pin numbers. The 24 year old male victim suffered a stab wound in attempt to exit the vehicle. The injury sustained was non-life threatening.

On Saturday, February 23, 2019 at approximately 5:55 a.m. investigators located the stolen vehicle in the area of Goreway Drive and Morning Star in Mississauga.

Danyal Khan, a 25 year old male from Brampton has been charged with Robbery, Forcible Confinement, Possession of Stolen Property, Fail to Comply with Recognizance, Breach of Probation Order and Aggravated Assault. He was held for a Bail Hearing and will attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Saturday, February 23, 2019.

Tiana Lloyd, a 29 year old woman has been charged with Robbery, Forcible Confinement, Possession of stolen property and Assault with a Weapon. She was held for a Bail Hearing and will attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Saturday, February 23, 2019.

Corey Miller, a 27 year old man from Mississauga has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on a later date.
