Police Make an Arrest in Bomb Threats Against Pearson Airport

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Airport Division Criminal Investigation Bureau were investigating several bomb threats made toward the Greater Toronto Airport Authority in Mississauga.

On Saturday, December 15, 2018 between 5:45 p.m. and 8:55 p.m., police investigated several phone calls that were made to the main phone line of the Toronto Pearson Airport advising that bombs had been placed on the property.

On Sunday, December 16, 2018, Joshua Kimble, a 38 year old man from Lindsay, was arrested and charged with two counts of Convey False Message and one count of Breach of Probation. He was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice on December 17, 2018.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have information concerning this investigation to contact the Airport Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at (905) 453-2121 Ext 3133.
