Police Make an Arrest Following an Armed Robbery in Mississauga

Region of Peel– Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have charged a male with numerous firearms related offences following an armed robbery in the City of Mississauga.

On Friday, August 24, 2018 at approximately 3:40 a.m. the suspect attended a hotel in Mississauga. He approached the victim, a 16 year-old female of Toronto, produced a handgun and demanded money. Police attended and arrested the male in the parking lot of the hotel.

Bekele Bedada, a 19 year-old male of Toronto, was arrested and charged with Robbery and numerous firearms related offences. A Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum long barrel revolver was seized. Bekele Bedada appeared for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on August 24, 2018.
