Police Investigate 1st Homicide of 2019
Region of Peelâ Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau are currently investigating the first homicide of 2019.
On Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at approximately 7:15 a.m., officers responded to a residence located on Rushton Crescent in the City of Mississauga in regards to a woman without vital signs. Once officers arrived, they located Tan Nguyen, a 74-year-old woman from Mississauga, deceased and found her death to be suspicious in nature. As such, the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau was notified of the incident and has taken carriage of the investigation.
As a result of the investigation, Dinh Nguyen, a 76-year-old man from Mississauga, was charged with Second Degree Murder and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on February 12, 2019.
