Police Identify Man Wanted for Sexual Assault

Region of Peel– Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau have issued a warrant for a 20 year-old-man involved in a sexual assault investigation.

On January 13, 2019 at approximately 7 p.m., the victim was at a shopping centre located in the area of Burnhamthorpe Road and Hurontario Street in the City of Mississauga. At this time, the unknown suspect approached the victim, sexually assaulted her and fled the area.

Investigators have identified the suspect as Abubaker Ahmed, a 20 year-old-man of no fixed address. On Thursday, January 16, 2019, police issued a warrant for the arrest of Abubaker Ahmed for the charges of Sexual Assault and Breach of Probation Order.
