Police Continue to Investigate a Serious Fail to Remain Collision

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau continue to seek the public’s assistance in the investigation of a serious Fail to Remain collision that left a 45 year-old Brampton woman in serious condition.

On Monday April 2, 2018 shortly after 10:00 p.m., the victim was crossing Steeles Avenue at Bramalea Road in Brampton when she was struck by a motor vehicle. The vehicle did not stop and fled the scene.

Linda PRAKASH, a 45 year-old female from Brampton, was transported to a Toronto Trauma Centre where she remains in serious condition.

Ms. PRAKASH sustained a fractured femur, two broken legs, fractured pelvis, several broken ribs and a fractured skull when she was hit by a small black car as she crossed Steeles Avenue at Bramalea Road on Monday evening. 

Investigators believe the vehicle will have damage to the passenger side of the car including damage to the passenger side mirror.

Investigators have recovered surveillance video from the area of the collision, and are confident the vehicle and driver will be identified.
