Police Arrest Woman in Stolen Vehicle Investigation
Region of Peel â Investigators from 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have charged a 27 year-old woman in relation to a stolen vehicle investigation in the City of Mississauga.
On Friday, January 11, 2019 at approximately 1:00 p.m. police were investigating a stolen Jeep Wrangler in a parking lot in the area of Tomken Road and Eglinton Avenue in the City of Mississauga. The vehicle was being operated by Michelle Garcia-Arguello, a 27 year old woman from Toronto.
In an attempt to evade police Michelle Garcia-Arguello drove through the parking lot where she collided with two police vehicles, one of the investigating officers and a white cube truck before being taken into custody. Significant damage was caused to the vehicles involved however only minor injuries were suffered.
Michelle Garcia-Arguello was arrested and charged with:
- One count Possession of Stolen Property
- Two counts Dangerous Operation
- One count Dangerous Operation Cause Bodily Harm
- One count Flight from Police
- Three counts Fail to Remain
- One count Escape Lawful Custody
- One count Breach of Probation
Michelle Garcia-Arguello was held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on Saturday, January 12, 2019.
