Police Arrest Three Men in a Drug Trafficking Investigation
Region of Peel – Investigators from the Street Level Organized Crime Unit have arrested and charged three men in relation to a drug trafficking investigation.
After a lengthy investigation that commenced in June 2018, several search warrants were executed at addresses in Brampton and Caledon resulting in the following illegal drugs being located and seized:
- Fentanyl - 1136.5 grams (Street value: $284,125.00)
- Crack Cocaine – 186.8 grams (Street value: $18,680.00)
- Cocaine – 28 grams (Street value: $2800.00)
- OxyContin – 25 pills (Street value: $2500.00)
The total street value of drugs seized is $308,105.00.
Peel Regional Police are proactively taking steps to arrest the individuals responsible for the distribution of these dangerous drugs. As a result, three males with ties to organized crime have been arrested. Akram Ibrahim, a 28 year-old male from Brampton was charged with 3 drug related offences and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on a future date. Christopher Singh, a 20 year-old male from Bramptonwas charged with 12 drug related offences and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice on July 25, 2018 and Graham Fraser, a 29 year old male from Fergus was charged with 1 drug related offence and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on a future date.
Peel Regional Police want to make the community aware that when purchasing these illicit drugs one should be aware of the possibility that these drugs may contain lethal amounts of fentanyl and/or carfentanyl.
Peel Regional Police have made a number of arrests involving heroin and cocaine combined with fentanyl and/or carfentanyl being sold to unsuspecting customers.
This seizure of Fentanyl is substantial and its removal from our community demonstrates the commitment that the Vice, Narcotic and Street Level Organized Crime Unit has to proactively investigating public safety matters. Public safety is one of our primary concerns and we will continue to vigorously investigate matters involving illicit drugs.
