Police Arrest Man in Relation to a Road Rage Investigation

Region of PeelInvestigators from 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested a 23 year-old man in relation to two road rage incidents in the City of Mississauga.

On Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at approximately 1:40 a.m. the victim, a 50 year-old man from Mississauga was involved in a road rage incident on Old Derry Road in Mississauga. The other driver stopped in front of the victim’s vehicle, exited his vehicle, hit the victim’s mirror and then returned to his vehicle and drove away. No damage was caused and no injuries were suffered to the victim.

On Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at approximately 1:45 a.m. another victim, a 37 year-old man from Toronto was involved in a separate road rage incident on Old Derry Road with the same vehicle. Both vehicles pulled over and an argument ensued. The other driver involved brandished and pointed a black firearm at the victim and struck him in the head with it. The victim suffered minor injuries.  

On Saturday, January 12, 2019 the accused, Houmam Zeitouny, a 23 year-old man from Mississauga was arrested and charged with:

  • One count Assault with a Weapon
  • Two counts Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • One count Use Imitation Firearm in Commission of an Offence
  • One count Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Two counts Carry Concealed Weapon
  • Two counts Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • One count Possession For The Purpose Of Distributing

Houmam Zeitouny was held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on Sunday, January 13, 2019.
