Police Arrest Man for Impaired Driving and Possession of a Firearm

Region of Peel– Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested a 25 year old man for impaired operation and possession of a firearm.

On Saturday February 23, 2019 at approximately 6:54 a.m. police received a call for a possible impaired driver in the area of Mclaughlin Road and Steeles Avenue West in the City of Brampton. Police located the vehicle occupied by a driver and a passenger.

The driver, Ramandip Seera, a 25 year old man from Mississauga was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Refusing to Comply with Breath Demand.

Police conducted a search of the driver and revealed him to be in possession of an unloaded firearm. A Berreta 22 caliber hand gun. Further charges of Carry Concealed Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle were laid. Ramandip Seera was held for a Bail Hearing and will attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Sunday, February 24, 2019.
