Police Arrest Male for Series of Bank Robberies

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau have arrested and charged a male in relation to a series of bank robberies in Brampton.

Between January 12, 2018 and August 21, 2018 four robberies were committed at separate banks in the City of Brampton. During all of the robberies, the male would approach the bank teller, make a demand for money and subsequently flee once his demands were met.

As a result of a lengthy investigation, officers from the Peel Regional Police Central Robbery Bureau have charged 51 year-old Cleveland Williams of Brampton with numerous charges related to the robberies.  Williams was held in custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton for a bail hearing on August 22, 2018.
