Police Arrest Male for a Series of Robberies
Region of Peel â Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Central Robbery Bureau have arrested and charged a male in relation to a series of violent knife point robberies across the Region of Peel.
Between July 9, 2018 and July 11, 2018 a total of 5 robberies were committed in the Cities of Brampton and Mississauga at a financial institution, three convenience stores and the driver of a taxi.
As a result of the investigation, Ronald Hawkins, a 33 year-old male of Brampton, was arrested on July 11, 2018. Hawkins is a parolee, who at the time of the robberies was unlawfully at large and wanted on a Canada wide warrant. Hawkins has been charged with five counts of Robbery and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on July 12, 2018.
