Police Arrest 32 Year Old Male In Sexual Assault Investigations
Region of Peel â Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit have arrested a 32 year old male in relation to 4 sexual assaults that have occurred in the City of Brampton and Mississauga.
On Monday, September 24, 2018 at 11:15 p.m. in the area of Sandalwood Parkway and Conestoga Drive in Brampton, the male suspect approached a 24 year old female from Brampton sitting in a bus shelter. The male exposed himself and sexually assaulted the victim. The victim did not sustain any injuries.
On Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 6:35 p.m. in the area of Burnhamthorpe Road and Creditview Road in Mississauga, the suspect approached an 18 year old female from Mississauga sitting inside a bus shelter. The male exposed himself, refused to allow the victim to leave and sexually assaulted her. The victim did not sustain any injuries.
On Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 6:25 p.m. in the area of Burnhamthorpe Road and Creditview Road in Mississauga, the suspect approached a 26 year old female from Mississauga sitting in a bus shelter. The suspect exposed himself, and sexually assaulted the victim. The victim did not sustain any injuries.
On Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 2:20 p.m. in the area of Financial Drive and Creditview Road in Mississauga, the suspect approached a 17 year old female from Mississauga standing at a bus stop. The suspect exposed himself and sexually assaulted the victim. The victim did not sustain any injuries.
On Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 6:27 p.m. Investigators arrested and charged Trevor Kamhunga, a 32 male from London, Ontario with the following offences:
4 counts of Sexual Assault
1 count of Utter Threats
1 count of Forcible Confinement
1 count of Obstruct Police
Trevor Kamhunga was held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Sunday, October 21, 2018.
