Peel Regional Police Remind Public About Utilizing Buy and Sell Exchange Zones
Region of Peel – Peel Regional Police would like to remind and encourage the public to utilize Buy and Sell Exchange Zones as an alternative meeting location to facilitate property transactions arranged online.
On Sunday March 25, 2018, two parties made online arrangements to exchange items for sale in the area of Bovaird Drive West and Heart Lake Road in the City of Brampton. When the two parties met, the person buying the items grabbed them from the victim and after a brief struggle, fled the scene with the property.
The suspect is known by the name of Brandon and is described as male, black, 5’8’’-5’9’’ feet tall, 17-19 years old, clean shaven and with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, baggy blue jeans, a black bomber style hooded jacket with fur lining on the hood and a red patch on the right sleeve and blue retro style New Balance running shoes.
Peel Regional Police continue to investigate similar incidents throughout the Region involving thefts, robberies and frauds from online buying and selling transactions.
In order to increase public safety and reduce crime, Peel Regional Police invite the public to use our signed Buy and Sell Exchange Zone parking spaces at two locations:
- 22 Division, located at 7750 Hurontario Street in the City of Brampton, and;
- 12 Division, located at 4600 Dixie Road in the City of Mississauga.
