Peel Regional Police Investigating 5th Homicide of the Year

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance with an investigation into the 5th homicide of 2018.

On March 5, 2018 at 5:00 a.m., police attend 1343 Rathburn Road East, in the City of Mississauga, for reports of a shooting.

Police arrived and located the victim, a 25 year-old female from Mississauga, deceased.

Police are currently trying to locate the boyfriend of the victim. Joseph CHANG, a 39 year-old male from the City of Toronto. Police believe he is responsible for the homicide.

CHANG is known to drive a black Infinity with a licence plate of CAXM834, and police believe he used the vehicle to leave the scene. 

Anyone locating the vehicle are asked to call 911 immediately.

CHANG is considered armed and dangerous and the public should not approach him, but notify the police should they know of his whereabouts.
