Peel Police - Witnesses Sought in Pedestrian Struck in a Serious Fail to Remain Collision
Region of Peel â Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are appealing for witnesses to a serious Fail to Remain motor vehicle collision that occurred in the City of Brampton.
On Monday April 2, 2018 shortly after 10:00 p.m., the victim was crossing Steeles Avenue at Bramalea Road in Brampton when she was struck by a motor vehicle. The vehicle did not stop and fled the scene.
The victim, Linda PRAKASH a 45 year-old female from Brampton was transported to a Toronto Trauma Centre where she remains in serious condition.
The vehicle is described as a black Mazda or Honda 4-door sedan.
Investigators believe the vehicle will have damage to the passenger side of the car including damage to the passenger side mirror.
Investigators are appealing for witnesses who may have witnessed the collision, have dashboard video footage of the incident or who may have information regarding the actions of the pedestrian and /or driver prior to the collision.
