Peel Police-Victim Named in 10th Homicide Appeal Continues for Witnesses
Region of Peel â Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau are investigating the 10th homicide of 2018 which has claimed the life of a Mississauga man.
On Saturday, May 26, 2018 at approximately 1:15 a.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing at a residence in the area of Tradewind Drive and Winston Churchill Boulevard in the City of Mississauga. Upon arrival officers located the victim with obvious signs of trauma.
The victim, Daniel SMITH a 19 year-old Mississauga resident was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators are asking for anyone who attended the party, saw, or had an interaction with SMITH to contact the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau. Police are looking for pictures or video images taken during the event.
The investigation is on-going and suspect information is not available at this time and will be released once it is available.
