Peel Police - Tip Received From Public Leads to an Arrest

Region of Peel – Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau would like to thank the public for assisting police with information that led to an arrest in a stabbing investigation in the City of Mississauga.    

On Friday February 16, 2018 at approximately 10:00 p.m. a 42 year-old male of Mississauga was stabbed in the area of Hurontario Street and King Street West in Mississsauga. The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local trauma centre.

On Saturday February 17, 2018 a warrant was issued for the arrest of Daniel CONOMY in relation to this incident. This information was shared with the public through social media, and a tip was received that led to an arrest.

On Sunday February 18, 2018 Daniel CONOMY, a 35 year-old male form the City of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm. CONOMY was held for a bail hearing on Monday February 19, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

The investigators would like to thank the public and members of the media for their assistance.
