Peel Police - Stolen 1992 Blue Jays World Series Rings Recovered After 23 Years
Region of Peel – Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have recovered an authentic 1992 Toronto Blue Jays World Series Championship ring along with a Toronto Blue Jays Anniversary ring stolen from a Mississauga residence 23 years ago.
On Wednesday, April 13, 1994, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., jewelry and other items, including an authentic personalized 1992 Blue Jays World Series Championship ring, along with an Anniversary Blue Jays ring belonging to a former Blue Jays Executive were stolen from a Mississauga residence in the area of Mississauga Road and Highway 403.
On October 11, 2017, 23 years later, Peel Regional Police investigators were informed that the stolen items were being sold on an online buy and sell website.
As a result of the investigation, the rings were recovered and returned to the rightful owner.
